Randolph Caldecott Soc UK AGM, Chester, Oct 2003

Jane Eilbacher with an early Caldecott medal winning book.Our Speaker this year was Jane Eilbacher, who started by showing us the Video "Randolph Caldecott: the man behind the Medal"*.  She then went on to show us, and talk about, the books which have won the Caldecott Medal (or the runner-up "Caldecott Honor" award) since its inception 65 years ago.

*: This was produced in the USA by Scholastic.com at about the time of the Centenary of Randolph's death (~1986).  Sadly, it no longer seems to be on sale.
